Chairman - Randy Bellomy

Elected by Ellis County Republican voters every 4 years in same primary election for governor.  The Chairman oversees all operations of the ECRPEC and leads regular meetings.

Vice Chair - Jennifer Zarate

Serves as backup for the office of Chairman. Runs meetings and directs activities in the absence of the Chairman.

Budget & Finance - Tom Manning, Chairman

Standing subcommittee focused on developing and updating budget. Presents financial reports to ECREC. 

Precinct Chair Development - Sharon Tryon, Chair

The committee shall recruit, qualify and vet vacancy applicants.

Once an applicant has been approved by the committee the applicant will be presented to the

Executive Committee for approval.

The committee shall coordinate the ongoing improvement of the Party structure at the local

level. It develops and conducts periodic training programs for Precinct Chair, Precinct

Captains, Block Captains, campaign workers, other personnel, and party supporters. It is.

responsible for developing programs for implementation by the Precinct Chairs, such as voter

identification and voter registration efforts, and ensures the Precinct Chairs have the necessary

tools needed to be effective.

Communications & Marketing - J.J. Brookshire, Chairman

 The Communications and Marketing Subcommittee is responsible for leading the marketing and communications activities of the ECRPEC. The Primary Responsibilities of the subcommittee include:

• Develop strategies to increase engagement across all platforms to include: website, electronic documents, in person events and social media.

• Consistently communicate a message supporting the efforts of the ECRPEC

• Submit press releases to media partners and leverage PR opportunities

• Publish all announcements, events and relevant info on the website

• Draft electronic documents for distribution

• Create and publish social media content

• Increase visibility within Ellis County 

• Reach out to media partners and key influencers and personally invite to events

• Coordinate the creation of graphics, photography, audio and video

• Direct publication of "The Elephant's Ear"

Headquarters and Volunteers - Kay Dunn, Chair

Standing subcommittee oversees staffing and infrastructure requirements for Ellis County GOP Headquarters.

Events & Fundraising - Ashley Collins, Chair

The committee shall be responsible for identifying and determining events in which the ECGOP

will participate to provide the optimum representation, communication, and education of

Republican principles and legislative priorities.

The committee shall be responsible for development of various levels of fundraising events

throughout the year to achieve annual fundraising goals.

Email Chair

Victory - Jennifer Zarate, Chair

The Victory Committee is responsible for recruiting, vetting, and encouraging qualified persons to seek

public office on the Republican ticket or Local elections. Accept and review Local Candidate

Endorsement applications and make recommendations to the Executive Committee. Provide practical

assistance and advice to the candidates related to fundraising, organization, advertising, etc. Organizing

Precinct Chairs and volunteers in their Voter Turnout Effort, through phone banking, block walking, yard

sign placement, literature drops, polling location sign placement, and poll-greeting for local endorsed

candidates or Republican primary nominees. This Committee will have funds as available and approved

by the Executive Committee. This committee will determine distribution of funds.

Legislative and Political Priorities - Kathy Ponce, Chair

 

The Legislative and Political Priorities Committee shall adopt Conservative advocacy to encourage the Ellis  County Republican legislative caucus (local, county, state, and federal) in sponsoring, supporting, and/or voting for the Legislative priorities of the Party as outlined in the Republican Party of Texas Platform and the Legislative Priorities, and reporting legislator’s votes by:

  1. Reviewing and/or monitoring bills filed in the Texas Legislature and U. S. Congress and providing information to the Executive Committee and the Republican voting public on bills that implement in whole or in part any of the Legislative Priorities of the Party. Including the Republican Party of Texas Platform.
  2. Promoting communication and education to Republican voters to promote passage of bills or ordinances that implement the Legislative and Political Priorities of the Party. Such activities may include testifying before the Texas Legislature, letter writing, making phone calls, emailing, and social media.
  3. Making recommendations to other committees for action(s) to take in support of the Legislative and Political Priorities of the Party.
  4. Lobbying Elected Officials, and reporting their votes to the Executive Committee.
  5. Reviewing and monitoring local ordinances and issues for determining legislative and Political priorities and policies. Reporting findings to Candidate's and Executive Committee for use in evaluating local candidates.

The Legislative and Political Priorities Committee can meet as needed to research and review any new or proposed legislation,  propositions or ordinances, bond issues, governmental charters/by-laws changes, tax changes, non-partisan election issues, and school board/city/county ordinances and resolutions. 
The Legislative and Political Priorities Committee will help in drafting talking points to all elected officials  (local, county, state and federal) for any proposed legislation whether in support or opposition.
